Employee and Labor Relations (ELR) is management’s resource for managing UC Santa Barbara’s most valuable asset – our employees. The ELR team strives to enhance the relationship between the University and employees by providing consultation to supervisors on the best practices for managing people and recommending solutions for work-related issues.   We are responsible for the administration and interpretation of UC Santa Barbara’s 15 union contracts, and work collaboratively with the union representatives and stewards to uphold UC Santa Barbara's union contracts. We encourage UC Santa Barbara employees to submit an HR ServiceNow for consultation.
