RE: Introducing UCSB Job Builder (OACIS Replacement System)

Dear Campus Colleagues,

The Compensation Unit of Human Resources is excited to announce the upcoming launch of UCSB Job Builder later this Fall. UCSB Job Builder is a customized product of JDXpert by MarketPay and will replace our current job description system, OACIS. As with OACIS, UCSB Job Builder will serve as a workflow engine and repository for staff (non-student) job descriptions and related job description actions. We are implementing this change to improve access to job descriptions for all staff (non-student) employees, to improve the job description creation experience, and to standardize many aspects of the job description format and process systemwide.

UCSB Job Builder offers many advantages that will provide you with an improved and streamlined user experience, including:

For all staff (non-student) employees:

  • Single Sign On access to your job description

  • Single Sign On access to the job descriptions of your direct-reports (as identified in UCPath)

  • Single Sign On access to the Career Tracks Job Standards

For all OACIS users with a Preparer or Submitter role:

  • Extensive database of job descriptions from which to build job descriptions

  • Employee Data that is updated regularly

  • Pre-formatted Job Posting information that can be copied over to TAM in one step

The Compensation Unit is currently in the final testing and configuration phase of the project.  Roll-out and training dates and times will be announced this Fall.  For more information and updates, please refer to the HR Website at https://www.hr.ucsb.edu/hr-units/compensation/oacis.

We look forward to working with you to implement the new system, and we thank you in advance for your support.
