RE: Bargaining Units Agree to Temporary Change for the Use of Accrued Sick Leave for Staff
In late July, the Office of the President announced a temporary change in UC’s Absence from Work policy to allow eligible policy-covered (non-represented) staff to use their accrued sick leave if they are unable to work or telework because their children are not able to physically attend their school or place of care due to COVID-19 precautions. The temporary policy change is effective July 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020. Employees in the following bargaining units are now eligible to participate in this temporary change in policy.
Staff bargaining units: CX, EX, HX, NX, RX, SX, TX
Academic bargaining units: BX, PX, RA
