Please be aware that the California minimum wage will increase from $15.50 per hour to $16.00 per hour effective January 1, 2024.  This change primarily impacts students in casual-restricted staff student positions. 

This change will be coordinated centrally by HR in collaboration with the UCPath Center.  You do not need to take any action. The centralized process will identify active appointments in UCPath with an hourly rate of less than $16.00 per hour and will create a new pay rate of $16.00 per hour effective December 24, 2023 (the first day of the bi-weekly pay period closest to January 1, 2024).  This process is scheduled to take place in mid-December.  

UCSB salary range minimums that fall below $16.00 per hour will be adjusted in the Job Code Lookup system (formerly known as TCS) effective January 1, 2024.  The job titles impacted by this change are:
