In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, ASAP invites you to join us for a six-week process group to support UCSB’s Latinx employees. The Latinx community is the largest minority group in Santa Barbara County. 27% of UCSB employees identify as Hispanic or Latinx. Many Latinx individuals have difficulties communicating with their elderly immigrant parents about their differences in cultural values. Family conflict may arise from differences in values such as child rearing, boundary setting, and family roles. In this confidential group you will obtain the tools to navigate these different cultural and generational values.

Group members need to commit to attending a brief (10-minute) pre-group screen and all group sessions. This is a closed group, so space is limited.

Facilitated by:

Melissa Cordero, Psy.D., ASAP Licensed Clinical Psychologist
