RE:      PPSM Policy Update- PPSM Policy 63 Investigatory Leave

I am writing with an update on changes to Personnel Policies for Staff Members (PPSM).  The University has completed a full review of PPSM Policy 63 Investigatory Leave in consultation with the Office of General Counsel, Policy Coordinators across the system, subject matter experts within the Office of the President, and staff during the formal review and comment period.  The proposed changes to PPSM Policy 63 Investigatory Leave are now in effect.  The final policy is available on UCnet at: https://policy.ucop.edu/doc/4010412/PPSM-63

The following list of revisions to PPSM 63 Investigatory Leave are highlighted below but are not inclusive of all changes to the policy.


•         Clarifies the responsibilities of both the employee and the University during the investigatory leave process
•         Reformatted and added two new sections: Section III.B. – Circumstances When Investigatory Leave May Be Warranted and Section III.C. – Written Notice
