The UC Santa Barbara (UCSB) Academic and Staff Assistance Program (ASAP) invites Chairs of departments to a new discussion group specifically for you! The group will be facilitated by Dr. Kirsten Olson, Clinical Psychologist, and is intended to provide an opportunity for department Chairs to meet and discuss the unique challenges of this position.
Topics of discussion can include:
Positive coping strategies
Professional and personal well-being
Problem solving
Strategies to promote resilience
Maintaining personal scholarship
Challenging personnel matters
Our intention is to provide a monthly opportunity for Chairs to meet together. Please note that we can be flexible with the time if we receive feedback that there is another better time for most. NOTE: If you cannot attend this initial meeting/time and remain interested in participating, please let us know.
