RE: UC General Compliance Briefing Training Launch
All UCSB employees will soon be assigned, through the UC Learning Center, the new General Compliance Briefing: University of California Ethical Values and Conduct training. This training is mandatory for all UC employees, unless you have already been identified as needing to complete the Compliance & Conflict of Interest for Researchers Briefing (COIR) training. The due date for completing this mandatory compliance briefing is June 30, 2018.
This online briefing is designed to raise continued awareness of the University of California Statement of Ethical Values and Standards of Ethical Conduct, and to convey University employment obligations with respect to ethical and compliant behavior. The purpose is not to teach University policy or ethics but to familiarize UC employees with important ethics and compliance information, issues and resources.
Employees will be notified and reminded of their requirement to complete this course via their UCSB email. Managers and supervisors should ensure that their employees without a UCSB email address are notified of this training and make arrangements for them to complete this training requirement.
