RE:  Upcoming Wage Increases for Clerical (CX) Employees

With the recent (April 19, 2017) ratification of the UC-Teamsters Clerical Unit (CX) collective bargaining agreement, Human Resources is preparing to implement the following 2017 wage increases agreed to under the new contract:

1.   3% Across-the-Board Increase
·        Effective April 23, 2017 (the first full pay period following ratification)
·        Paid out on May 17, 2017
·        Eligibility: all represented CX employees
·        Employees on unpaid leave receive increase effective upon return to active pay status

2.   $1200 Lump Sum Payment
·        Effective within 60 days following ratification
·        Tentatively scheduled to be paid out on June 14, 2017
·        Eligibility: all non-probationary, represented CX employees, on pay status on date of ratification (4/19/17) –AND- who remain on pay status on date of payout (TBD)
·        Lump sum will be pro-rated based on employees’ appointment percentage (including deduction for ERIT)
·        Lump Sum payment is a one-time payment (retirement eligible) and subject to all appropriate taxes and UCRP contributions

3.   3% Across-the-Board Increase
·        Effective July 2, 2017
·        Paid out on July 26, 2017
·        Eligibility: all represented CX employees
·        Employees on unpaid leave receive increase effective upon return to active pay status
