RE: PPS Training - Summer 2017
Summer 2017 Payroll/Personnel System (PPS) Training will begin Tuesday, July 25th. PPS training is mandatory for those who prepare and/or review personnel transactions and payroll time reporting transactions in PPS.
To enroll in PPS training, please follow these steps:
1. OBTAIN A PPS USER ID: Submit a PPS Request for Access Form to Business & Financial Services, Computing Support. This step is needed if you are attending PPS training for the first time OR if you have changed departments. Each participant must have an active PPS User ID before attending any of the PPS labs. This form can be found here:http://www.bfs.ucsb.edu/c
2. BEFORE REGISTERING determine what your PPS User Type(s) will be (Preparer, Reviewer, Time Reporter, Inquiry Only). Then review the chart of Required Courses by PPS User Type here: http://www.hr.ucsb.
3. REGISTER for all of the required classes for your PPS User Type through the UC Learning Center at: https://learningcenter.ucs
Log in using your UCSB netID and password. Once logged in, enter PPS into the Search field.

The registration deadline is Wednesday, July 19th.
Please Note: It is each individual’s responsibility to determine what their PPS User Type is and to register for all of the required classes/labs for their PPS User Type. All of the required classes/labs must be attended in order to be given access to the PPS production site.
