RE:       End of SX PPS FREEZE

The EDB Update for the SX one-step increase was completed Friday, May 20, 2016.  The EDB freeze is over for SX employees.  Now that the EDB update is complete, please take a moment to verify that

All eligible employees in your department were included; and
The new steps and rates were updated appropriately for your employees in the EDB.
Some employees were not eligible for the step increase per the requirements of the SX contracts.  Should you have any questions, please refer to:

Please remember that probationary employees hired on or before July 3, 2016 are eligible to receive the one-step increase on the first bi-weekly pay period following 30 days after completion of their probation.

Example:  Employee completes probation on August 8, 2016.  The employee is eligible to receive the one-step increase on September 11, 2016 (August 8 + 30 days = September 7, 2016 + next full bi-weekly pay period = September 11, 2016).
Other employees may have been skipped from this process because they did not have a distribution extending past June 30, 2016. These employees need to be manually processed by the department when their distributions are extended. Please use action code “43” and enter the new pay rate and step from TCS on the new distribution beginning on July 3, 2016.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have questions or need further instruction.
