Exemptions to Recruitment

PPSM 20.III.G. - Exemptions. The University provides that recruitment is not required under certain circumstances.


Steps for requesting an exemption to recruitment in accordance with policy:

  1. Prior to submitting your request, consult with Talent Acquisition.
  2. Submit an online job description or job description update action to Compensation via OACIS as appropriate.
  3. Submit a written request to Talent Acqusition that references the applicable UC policy, documents the individual’s qualifications for the position, and states the proposed effective date and salary rate.

If approved, submit a job description update action to Compensation with the new incumbent’s name.
