Dues are set by the Board of the UCSB Emeriti Association. They are currently $15 per year for continuing members. Membership is complimentary for the first year. Members who are at least 85 years of age are exempt from paying dues, as are Honorary members; but, they should continue to renew their membership annually.

The Emeriti Association is a voluntary, self-supporting organization. We depend on membership dues to cover operating costs (supplies, printing, postage, room rental for meetings and events, etc.) Your annual dues payment also covers:

  • Social and cultural events for members

  • Administrative costs of the triennial survey of emeriti activity

  • Membership in the Council of University of California Emeriti Associations (CUCEA) and travel expenses of the UCSB representative to attend CUCEA meetings

  • A portion of CUCEA meeting expenses when they occur on the UCSB campus (approximately every five years)

  • Membership in the Association of Retirement Organizations in Higher Education
