Disability Services for Employees

Disability Services assists academic, staff and student employees with temporary or long-term disabilities. We provide guidance and counseling on resources, pay options, leave entitlements and reasonable accommodations, such as

  • Counseling on salary continuation options, including accrued paid leave, short-term disability and long-term disability. 
  • Advising and co-ordinating leave entitlements, including Family and Medical Leave, Pregnancy Disability Leave, etc.
  • Providing temporary modified or alternate work under the Transitional Work Program to help employees transition back to their regular position.
  • Facilitating reasonable accommodations for disability-related limitations.
