WAGE INCREASES FOR EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED BY A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT

There are currently 10 different collective bargaining groups representing our non-academic staff employees at UCSB. The following links summarize the wage increase details contained in the applicable collective bargaining unit contracts. CX - Teamsters Local 2010 (Clerical)

Contract Effective Dates: 4/19/2017 - 3/31/2022

Wage Increases:

Current Contract:

​​7/_/21 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase for all CX employees; and
2021  -  One-step increase for career Public Safety Dispatchers on their step placement
              anniversary date
​6/28/20 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase for all CX employees; and
6/14/20 -  One-step increase for career Public Safety Dispatchers on their step placement
              anniversary date
​6/30/19 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase for all CX employees​
6/2/19 - New step structure and step placement for Public Safety Dispatchers
7/1/18 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase for all CX employees
7/2/17 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase for all CX employees 
6/14/17 - $1200 Lump Sum payment for all CX employees
             -Eligibility = in the unit on date of ratification and date of payout (prorated by appt %)
             -Lump sum was agreed to in lieu of missed 2016 increase
4/23/17 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase for all CX employees

2016 - No increases scheduled – Contract expired 11/30/16

Previous Contract:

07/05/15 - 2% Across the board (ATB) increase + One step increase (~2%) for eligible employees
     (Eligible if non-probationary, within range, & satisfactory performance)

07/06/14 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase +
      - One step increase (~2%) for employees with 10+ years of service -OR-
      - Two step increase (~4%) for employees with 20+ years of service
04/23/14 - $13 Lump Sum payment
1/5/14 - One step increase (~2%) for eligible employees
      (eligible if non-probationary, within range, & satisfactory performance)
7/7/13 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase
4/1/13 - All salaries below $14.22/hour brought to $14.22/hour
7/1/12 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase +
      - One step increase (~2%) for employees with 10+ years of service -OR-
      - Two step increase (~4%) for employees with 20+ years of service
4/1/12 - All salaries below $13.70/hour brought up to $13.70/hour
2/1/12 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase + One step increase (~2%) for eligible employees
      (Eligible if non-probationary, within range, & satisfactory performance)

DX - UAPD (Physicians)

July 2024 - $1,000 one-time lump sum payment for career non-probationary emps who reach 20 years of service as of 7/1/24
April 2024 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase

July 2023 - One step increase (~2%) for eligible emps- career, non-probationary, within range emps
July 2023 - $1,000 one-time lump sum payment for career non-probationary emps who reach 20 years of service as of 7/1/23
April 2023 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase

July 2022 - One step increase (~2%) for eligible emps- career, non-probationary, within range emps
July 2022 - $1,000 one-time lump sum payment for career non-probationary emps who reach 20 years of service as of 7/1/22
April 2022 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase

July 2021 - One step increase (~2%) for eligible emps- career, non-probationary, within range emps
July 2021 - $1,000 one-time lump sum payment for career non-probationary emps who reach 20 years of service as of 7/1/21
July 2021 - $1,000 lump sum payment for non-probationary career emps (prorated by hours on pay status in 2020)
April 2021 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase

7/12/20 - One step increase (~2%) for eligible emps- career, non-probationary, within range emps
7/12/20 - $1,000 one-time lump sum payment for career non-probationary emps who reach 20 years of service as of 7/1/20

Ratification Increases:
6/1/20 (5/31 BW) - $3,000 lump sum payment for non-probationary career emps (prorated by hours on pay status in 2019)
6/1/20 (5/31 BW) - $500 lump sum payment for per diem and limited appt emps who worked at least 400 hours in 2019
5/1/20 (5/3 BW) - One step increase (~2%) for eligible emps- career, non-probationary, within range emps
4/1/20 (4/5 BW) - 6% Across the board (ATB) increase

NX - CNA (Nurses)

6/30/19 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase
7/29/18 - Shift Differential pay changes from $0.00/hr to $1.50/hr (11pm-6am)
7/1/18 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase
10/8/17 - Specialty Pay changes from flat rate to 5% of base pay
10/8/17 - POST Intermediate Certificate pay changes from flat rate to 4% of base pay
10/8/17 - POST Advanced Certificate pay changes from flat rate to 8% of base pay
7/2/17 - 3% Across the board (ATB) increase
