RE:      Deadline extended for 2017 Staff Engagement Survey!

The 2017 Engagement Survey deadline has been extended to Friday, June 9!  Only 943 randomly selected UCSB staff members were invited to participate in the survey. As of Friday morning, 480 have responded, but we are still hoping that many of the remaining 463 staff will choose to respond. If you received the invitation, don’t wait – take five minutes today and complete the survey!  (See instructions below.)

There are a couple of reasons why your participation is very important. (1) Your responses will help campus leadership understand what’s important to you and what’s working well or needs improvement; (2) UCSB’s response rate is leading the other UC locations; and higher participation levels translate to more precision in the results for our campus, as well as retaining the number 1 lead across the system!

I want to assure you that the sender of the survey email, Willis Towers Watson, is UC’s trusted partner and the survey link is legitimate and secure.  We understand that due to increased cybersecurity awareness, you may be reluctant to clink on links in emails from unfamiliar senders.

Your participation is important. Again, the survey is completely confidential and your individual responses to the survey and personally identifying information will not be shared with UC. The survey deadline has been extended to June 9, 2017. Thank you in advance for participating in the 2017 Staff Engagement Survey!

If you are not certain whether you received the survey invitation, please follow these steps.

1.       Search your email for “UCStaffEngagementSurvey@willistowerswatson.com” or by subject line for “DEADLINE EXTENDED: 2017 Staff Engagement Survey” You may want to check your Spam folder also.

2.       If you received an invitation to participate, you will have received four emails to date, the most recent reminder was sent today, June 2nd.

3.       Open the email and click on the link within the email message to access the survey.

Additional information:

The survey was developed by the Council of University Staff Assemblies (CUCSA) in collaboration with systemwide Human Resources and Willis Towers Watson, an independent consulting firm specializing in employee surveys and research. The survey asks for your opinions about a range of topics that focus on employee engagement. Your views are very important and provide direct feedback that will help shape how we will all work at UC. This is the third systemwide UC Staff Engagement Survey. The first was conducted in 2012. Survey participants were randomly selected from policy-covered staff members.  Results were shared with Senior Leadership at UCOP as well as the Chancellors or senior administrators at each location.  Read more at UCnet: http://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/2017/05/ucs-third-systemwide-staff-engagement-survey-launches-may-15.html
