RE:      2017 Staff Engagement Survey

Were you one of the 943 UCSB staff members randomly selected to participate in the 2017 Staff Engagement Survey? As of this morning, 426 staff members have responded, and I am reaching out to increase our participation so that we will hear from all 943 staff members who received an invitation to participate in this important survey. If you were one of the 426 who already completed the survey – thank you for your quick response! If you have not yet completed the survey, please take 5 minutes today to submit your response!

If you are not certain whether you received the survey invitation, please follow these steps.

1.       Search your email for “UCStaffEngagementSurvey@willistowerswatson.com(link sends e-mail)” or by subject line for “Reminder: Staff Engagement Survey Deadline” You may want to check your Spam folder also.

2.       If you received an invitation to participate, you will have received three emails to date, the most recent reminder was sent yesterday, May 25th.

3.       Open the email and click on the link within the email message to access the survey.

I want to assure you that the sender of the survey email, Willis Towers Watson, is UC’s trusted partner and the survey link is legitimate and secure.

Your participation is important. Willis Towers Watson does not report individual names or opinions, so your answers will remain strictly confidential. Your responses, combined with others, will help leadership understand what’s important to you and what’s working well or needs improvement. The survey deadline is June 2, 2017. Thank you in advance for participating in the 2017 Staff Engagement Survey!

Additional information:

The survey was developed by the Council of University Staff Assemblies (CUCSA) in collaboration with systemwide Human Resources and Willis Towers Watson, an independent consulting firm specializing in employee surveys and research. The survey asks for your opinions about a range of topics that focus on employee engagement. Your views are very important and provide direct feedback that will help shape how we will all work at UC. This is the third systemwide UC Staff Engagement Survey. The first was conducted in 2012. Survey participants were randomly selected from policy-covered staff members.  Results were shared with Senior Leadership at UCOP as well as the Chancellors or senior administrators at each location.  Read more at UCnet: http://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/2017/05/ucs-third-systemwide-staff-engagement-survey-launches-may-15.html(link is external)
